Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of www.craftedpxl.com (the "site"), which is run by CraftedPxl, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("CraftedPxl," "we," "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site is

The site is the portfolio and journal of CraftedPxl. It publishes articles in the Journal, photography in Lens, and pages describing the products we build in the Lab. It has no user accounts, and you can use all of it without giving us any information.

2. Our content and how you may use it

  • Ownership. The articles, photographs, illustrations, screenshots, designs and other material on the site belong to CraftedPxl or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Unless this section says otherwise, you may not copy, republish or sell them without our written permission.
  • Quoting. You may quote short passages from an article, provided you credit CraftedPxl and link to the original.
  • Photographs. All rights are reserved on the photographs in Lens. To license one, email us.
  • Code snippets. You may use code snippets published in Journal articles in your own projects, personal or commercial, without attribution. They are provided as-is, as set out in section 7.
  • Names and logos. CraftedPxl, the CraftedPxl logo, and the names and logos of our products are our trademarks. You may not use them in a way that suggests we endorse or are affiliated with you.

3. Acceptable use

When using the site you agree not to:

  • Try to access areas of the site that are not public, or bypass its security or bot protection.
  • Artificially inflate view or like counts, or otherwise manipulate the site's data.
  • Crawl or scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other visitors.
  • Use the contact or newsletter forms to send spam, or to submit content that is unlawful or abusive.
  • Subscribe an email address to the newsletter that is not yours.

We may block access from any address or network that breaks these rules.

4. Messages and ideas you send us

Messages sent through the contact form are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send confidential information through the form. If you send us suggestions or ideas, you agree that we may use them without any obligation to you.

5. Newsletter

The newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing info@craftedpxl.com. We may change or stop the newsletter at any time.

6. Lab projects and third-party links

Lab pages describe products that are released, in beta or still in development. A description of a product is not a promise that it will be released, or that it will have the features, prices or availability described. Each product is governed by its own terms once it is released. The site also links to websites run by others. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Disclaimer

The content on the site is published for general information. It reflects our own experience and opinion at the time of writing, and it may become out of date. It is not professional, legal, financial or investment advice. The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CraftedPxl will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the site or its content, including code you copy from it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
