Change brightness and volume when you plug in your phone

My phone goes on the charger at the bedside every night, and every night the screen is at whatever brightness it had in the afternoon. Plugging in is a reliable signal that the phone is about to sit somewhere for a while, so it's a good moment to turn the screen and the media volume down. This routine does both when charging starts and puts them back to their earlier values when you unplug.
"When I plug in my phone set brightness to 40% and set media volume to 30% and put it back when I unplug"
Rulomi's on-device parser reads this sentence as written, so it works with the AI planner turned off. When you enable it, the routine asks for Modify system settings, which is the permission Android requires before an app can change brightness. Setting a fixed brightness also switches adaptive brightness off, and the restore step brings the old level back when you unplug. The trigger is the moment charging starts, so a phone that's already on the charger when you enable the routine won't react until the next time you plug it in. If you'd rather tie it to bedtime, a timed routine with "only if charging" as a condition does the same job at a fixed hour.
The recipe and its variations are on Rulomi's recipe page.
